In this article, you’ll learn when you can request additional costs if a Traveller breaks your house rules and how to submit a claim.
If a Traveller doesn’t follow your house rules, you may be able to request additional costs:
- Refuelling: If your rules require the vehicle to be returned with a full tank and it isn’t, you can charge for the missing fuel.
- Cleaning: If your advert doesn’t include a cleaning fee, you can request up to £50 for interior cleaning, £50 for exterior cleaning, and £50 for an unemptied toilet. Proof is required.
- Late Return: If the vehicle is returned late, Goboony may apply reasonable charges. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can extend the booking and ensure your camper remains insured.
If your advert states any of the following rules and the Traveller ignores them, a fine of £250 applies:
- Smoking inside the motorhome
- Bringing pets
- Travelling abroad without permission (additional costs may apply for uninsured damages)
- Driving to a winter sports area (additional costs may apply for uninsured damages)
- Attending festivals unless permitted in your house rules
How to Submit a Claim
- Record the issue on the GoForm and have the Traveller sign to acknowledge the rule violation.
- Collect clear photos or other proof along with the GoForm.
- Add the additional cost on the booking page in your Goboony account.
Goboony will carefully review the evidence provided before making a decision on the charge. It's important to ensure there is clear and undeniable proof of any rule violation.
