In this article, you’ll learn who is responsible if a Traveller gets a flat tire during their trip, based on the age and condition of the tires.
If the Traveller gets a flat tire, as outlined in Article 6.21 of our Terms & Conditions, they will be responsible for the damage only if:
- The tire is less than 6 years old
- The tread depth is at least 2mm.
- You, as the Owner, can provide clear proof of the tire’s age.
If either the tire is older than 6 years or the tread depth is below 2mm, then you will be responsible for the damage. To avoid any issues, we recommend keeping records of your tire’s age and condition, so you have proof in case of a claim.
