This article explains who is responsible for covering repair costs if a technical breakdown happens during a booking: the Owner, the Traveller, or both.
Important: This article refers to mechanical or electrical failures that occur unexpectedly or expectedly in case the Traveller ignores warning signs, or, in other words, breakdowns. If something is damaged (e.g. due to an accident or misuse), different rules apply.
Breakdowns can happen, and when they do, it’s useful to know who’s responsible for what. Below, we’ve listed the most common technical issues that might come up during a trip.
