In this article, you'll learn what the GoForm is, why it's important for both the Owner and the Traveller, and how it helps ensure a smooth hire experience.
The GoForm, also known as the check-in and check-out form, is now completed digitally via the Goboony platform or mobile app. It is used at both the start and end of your hire period to record the condition of the vehicle, note any damages, and confirm the agreements made between you and the Owner.
During check-in:
You and the Owner will go through the digital GoForm step-by-step. Together, you'll document:
- The current condition of the vehicle
- Any existing damage (with photo uploads)
- Mileage and fuel level
- Cleanliness
- House rules and pick-up details
During check-out:
You’ll repeat the process to:
- Check for any new damages
- Record updated mileage and fuel level
- Confirm that all agreements were upheld
- Sign off digitally to complete the handover
Why is the GoForm important?
- Documents the condition of the vehicle: The GoForm acts as an official and time-stamped record of the motorhome’s condition at handover.
- Ensures both parties agree: It requires digital signatures from both the Owner and the Traveller, ensuring everything is clearly acknowledged.
- Essential for resolving disputes: If there's a claim for damage or extra costs, the GoForm (and supporting photos) will be used by Goboony to mediate and determine responsibility.
What happens if the GoForm isn’t completed correctly?
If the GoForm isn’t filled out properly at pick-up or return, it can lead to serious problems later. For example:
- Damages not recorded at check-in may be disputed during check-out.
- Without clear records, it’s harder for Goboony to assess who is responsible.
- Insurance coverage may be affected if the GoForm is incomplete or missing. In such cases, Goboony may not be able to support you in resolving any issues.
We strongly recommend completing the GoForm using the digital process to ensure accuracy, security, and peace of mind.
