In the event of additional costs occurring during a booking (damage, cleaning fee, additional miles etc), you need to charge the traveller. You can do so by following these steps:
1. Log in to your Goboony account and go to the booking page for the relevant booking.
2. Choose the option to add an additional cost and describe what the charge is for.
3. Enter the amount of the charge. If you don't know the amount yet, you can select "costs not yet known" and update the information later.
4. Upload all relevant documentation, such as the GoForm, photos of the damage, invoice, and proof of payment.
5. The traveller will have the option to agree to the costs or to send a message. If there is no response from the traveller, the deposit will begin processing after 5 days.
It's important to note that each incident should be listed separately, as each listed incident is capped at the deductible. This ensures that you don't end up claiming less than you intended.
If the deposit has already been released, it is no longer possible to add an additional cost through the Goboony platform. However, you can still try to settle an additional cost directly with the traveller by contacting them.
Remember that you can only claim for costs with proof of repair or if the traveller agrees to your proposal. If the traveller has insured their deposit with Rental Cover via Goboony or taken out another security deposit insurance through Goboony, you won't be able to claim costs without an invoice and proof of payment.
By following these steps and providing all the necessary information, you can ensure that the process of settling additional costs on a Goboony booking is smooth and straightforward.
