In this article, you’ll learn what additional costs are, how to charge the Traveller for them, how to submit a cost request through the Goboony platform, and what happens after you submit a request.
Additional costs are additional costs incurred during a booking that the Traveller must cover. You must place the security deposit on hold within 48 hours of the vehicle’s return via the Goboony platform. If the security deposit is not blocked within this time, it will be automatically released, and you won’t be able to claim costs through Goboony.
If the security deposit has already been released, you can no longer claim costs via Goboony but may settle them directly with the Traveller.
How to Submit Additional Costs:
- Log in to Goboony and go to the booking page.
- Select “Add additional cost”, describe the charge, and enter the amount. If unknown, select “Costs not yet known” and update later.
- Upload required documents (GoForm, photos, repair estimate).
- Click 'send to traveller' to progress the claim.
What Happens Next?
- The Traveller has 5 days to accept or dispute the charges.
- If the Traveller accepts, you may proceed to have the vehicle repaired.
- Upload the required documents (final repair invoice and proof of payment).
- Our team will process the claim and reimburse the repair costs to you.
If applicable, Goboony will take care of submitting the damage claim to the excess insurance once all the documents have been uploaded by the vehicle Owner.
What if the traveller disputes an additional cost?
- If the Traveller disputes the costs, a dispute process begins. You must complete the dispute process before we can continue to process the damage claim.
➤ Following these steps ensures a smooth process for handling additional costs on Goboony.
➤ Please note that if a claim to the insurance is necessary, Goboony will need all the documentation, including the proof of payment and the invoice of the repairs before being able to transfer the funds to the vehicle’s Owner’s bank account.
