If you have insurance included in your booking, the Advertiser may ask you for a number of things, including:
- Driving licence
- Proof of address (utility bill, phone bill etc.)
- Complete a check code on the DVLA website
- A small bank transfer
The reason the Advertiser may ask for these is so that they meet their insurance requirements. Most hire insurers require the Advertiser to have a copy of the Traveller's information on the record. The reason why you may need to complete a check code on the DVLA website is so the Advertiser can check that your licence fits the requirements of the insurance (those with penalties on their license may have to pay a higher security deposit). A small bank transfer may be needed if the insurance asks for proof of a transfer of funds between the two parties.
