We are committed to ensuring a smooth and secure hire experience for all our customers. That's why we partnered up with RentalCover.com to provide simple and stress-free protection for your rental, and with XCover for cancellation coverage. Both XCover and RentalCover.com are owned by Cover Genius, a trusted insurance tech company that protects customers of the world's largest digital companies.
Motorhome Insurance
Motorhome insurance is the insurance that the advertiser of the vehicle takes out. It is comparable to car insurance but for motorhomes. Furthermore, all motorhomes on our platform have additional rental insurance, otherwise, the advertiser is not allowed to hire out the motorhome. Goboony offers daily insurance in cooperation with Riverside to hirers on our UK platform. Although all motorhomes are insured, an excess always applies. The amount of the excess varies from motorhome to motorhome and depends on the insurance policy. Therefore, always ask the rental company about the exact terms of the contract so that you are fully informed and do not have any surprises. In general, you are liable for the amount of the deposit in the event of damage.
Excess Cover
Excess Cover is an insurance policy that allows you to reduce the excess. If you choose this insurance your own risk is reduced to only £150 per claim. Another advantage is that the deposit is also reduced to £150. This insurance is not for breakdowns or emergencies, but to reduce your own risk during the trip.
Travel Insurance
When you go on holiday, it is always advisable to take out travel insurance. Travel insurance covers unforeseen costs during your trip. This is not provided by Goboony, so you will need to take it out yourself for your motorhome trip. We also always advise you to take out travel cancellation insurance. This can often be added as an extra module to your travel insurance or taken out separately. Cancellation insurance reimburses the costs if the trip cannot take place due to illness, death or in some cases even COVID-19. Check with your insurance company for the exact terms and conditions.
