In this article, you'll learn how Goboony’s payment process works step by step, which payment methods Travellers can use, and what happens to your earnings if a Traveller cancels their booking.
The Goboony payment system is designed to keep money transfers between Travellers and Owners easy, safe, and secure.
What are the steps in the payment process? ⌄
- When you accept a booking request, the Traveller receives a payment request.
- The Traveller has 72 hours to pay the first part of the hire fee.
- If the Traveller does not pay within 72 hours, the booking request is cancelled, and your motorhome can be hired out to someone else.
- If the Traveller pays within 72 hours, the booking is confirmed. If the booking is less than three weeks before the key handover, the Traveller must pay the full amount (including the security deposit) immediately.
- If the full amount is not paid upfront, the Traveller will receive a payment request for the remainder of the hire fee and security deposit three weeks before the trip.
- 24 hours after the key handover, Goboony sends the payment to the Owner. It can take 2–5 working days to reach your bank account, depending on your bank.
How does the Traveller pay for the booking? ⌄
Travellers can pay using VISA, Mastercard, or iDEAL. It is not possible for them to pay via bank transfers or cash payments.
It is very important to use the Goboony payment system to hire out your motorhome. Payments made outside the platform are not safe, and we cannot protect or guarantee them.
To keep Goboony running smoothly, a service fee is added to each transaction. This fee also includes government taxes such as VAT.
You can find all the details about the service fee on this page.
Will I still get paid if the Traveller cancels a confirmed booking? ⌄
Once the booking is confirmed (Step 4 above), the cancellation policy will apply.
