After you return the vehicle, the Advertiser can decide whether to release or hold the security deposit. If the Advertiser chooses to hold the deposit, they will add the additional costs for the booking, which can be viewed on your booking page. Once the Advertiser has added all the additional costs, you can either accept or dispute these costs.
What if I dispute the additional costs?
If you choose to dispute the additional costs, it is important that you outline exactly which of the costs you are in disagreement with. Provide specific details as to why you feel the costs are unfair or not justified, including supporting evidence.
For instance, if you are disputing damage charges, provide clear photos taken at the time of pickup showcasing that the damage was pre-existing.
Other examples of documentation include external communication logs with the advertiser regarding the issue or any relevant terms and conditions from the rental agreement. These details and evidence will strengthen your dispute and help resolve the issue effectively.
Once you have collected all evidence to support your dispute, go to the booking page and click ‘Start dispute procedure’.
