In this article, you’ll learn how to cancel a booking, including the steps to take for both a booking request and a confirmed booking, as well as the cancellation fees, and process based on the situation.

If you receive a booking request you can’t accept, don’t worry—you can decline it and explain why. This is especially important if your vehicle is unavailable due to repairs or is already booked for those dates. To avoid having to decline requests for certain dates, you can easily block those dates on your calendar.
If you’ve already accepted a booking but need to cancel it, make sure to do so before the Traveller pays the first instalment. Let the Traveller know why you’re cancelling. If the cancellation happens after the payment, there may be a fee.
How to Cancel a Booking Request:
- Log in to your Goboony account on your dashboard.
- Find the booking request you want to cancel and open the booking page.
- Click the ‘Cancel Request’ button.
- Follow the steps to complete the cancellation.

If your vehicle has a problem before the next booking, let Goboony and the Traveller know right away.
Sometimes plans change, and you might need to cancel a confirmed booking. Whether there are cancellation fees depends on why you’re canceling:
- Unavoidable situations (Force Majeure): If something unexpected happens, like a sudden vehicle issue or a personal emergency, there won’t be any fees.
- Avoidable situations: If the cancellation could have been prevented (e.g., a double booking), cancellation fees will apply. Goboony will help find a replacement vehicle for the Traveller, but if the new vehicle costs more, you may need to cover the extra amount (up to £500).
- Instant Booking cancellation: While it’s best to avoid cancellations, you can cancel a booking within the first 24 hours if it’s absolutely necessary. The Traveller will automatically get a refund. But remember, cancelling too often might mean losing access to the Instant Booking feature. So it’s always good to cancel only when really needed.

- Find the booking you want to cancel and open the booking page.
- Click the ‘Cancellation Info’ button.
- Follow the steps to complete the cancellation.
