When hiring out your motorhome on Goboony, the deposit will be set according to the value of your vehicle and the excess required by your insurance policy. For Goboony Motorhome Day Insurance, the deposit amount is automatically set based on the vehicle value. If you are using alternative insurance, you can set your deposit amount in your listing setup, but it is important to ensure the deposit covers the excess on your policy.
In some cases, the Advertiser may hold the deposit instead of Goboony, as required by their insurance policy. It is the Advertiser's responsibility to state this in the vehicle's advert.
If there are additional costs, such as damage or a fine, you will need to hold the deposit to assess the cost. You can do this by logging into your Goboony account and going to the booking page for the relevant booking. If no additional costs have occurred, you must release the deposit for the Traveller.
Additional costs can include damage to the vehicle, extra costs like cleaning fees or mileage, or fines incurred during the rental. You must upload all supporting evidence for any additional costs, such as a photo of the damage, invoice, or proof of payment.
If the Traveller does not accept the additional costs, it is important to communicate with them and try to reach an agreement. It is recommended to communicate on the platform so that all communication is recorded. If necessary, Goboony's support department can assist in the mediation process.
If no damages or additional costs have occurred during the rental period, you will need to release the deposit for the Traveller.
