If you have insurance included as part of your booking, the Advertiser may ask you for a number of things, including:
- Driving licence
- Proof of address (utility bill, phone bill etc)
- Complete a check code on the DVLA website
- A small bank transfer
The reason the Advertiser may ask for these is so that they are in line with their insurance requirements. Most hire insurers will ask that the Advertiser has a copy of the Travellers information on the record. The reason why you may need to complete a check code on the DVLA website is so the Advertiser can check that your licence fits the requirements of the insurance (those with penalties may have to pay a higher security deposit).
A small bank transfer may be needed if the insurance asks that there is proof of a transfer of monies between the two parties.
