On top of your hire fee, we charge the traveller, or hiring party, a service fee. This is how we earn our income as a business.
Below, we clarify the service costs that we charge the traveller. Our service fees are calculated on the rental fee (excl. deposit) and on the cleaning costs. The service fee starts from 20.5%, and is dynamic based on seasonal demand, location and vehicle availability. The traveller pays the service fee on top of your hire fee as part of their total hire price.
For example, the calculation based on a 20.5% service fee and on a fixed daily rate of £100 is as follows:
- £100 / 0.795 = £125.79
- £125.79- £100 = £25.79
So the service fee is not 20.5% of the daily rate, but the daily rate is 79.5% of the total amount paid by the traveller.
In addition to the total hire price, we apply a fixed booking fee based on the duration of the rental.
